Maternity experiences are designed to show off not only your baby bump, but the magic and excitement of your transformation from woman to mother. Whether this is your first or fifth pregnancy, I'll artfully photograph and showcase this special time so you will always have these precious memories of motherhood. My goal is to capture the essence of your pregnancy and reflect your individuality.
Becoming a mother is is different for everyone - your portraits should be as unique as your journey. However you choose to be photographed, I'll capture both the physical and emotional changes that come with pregnancy. These tender and special sessions are designed to celebrate the journey you've been on and the chance for new beginnings. I want you to know - I've been on that journey, too. I understand that sometimes it is filled with light, but at other times the darkness still shows through. I know that thin line between hope and fear. Whatever you are feeling, I am here to sensitively document this precious time and show you how courageous and strong you are.
Maternity FAQ
The short answer - YES! Although my studio focuses on custom artwork and heirloom products, you receive a complimentary digital file of each photo that you choose to purchase.
Do i get the digital files?
You order what is best for you and suits your lifestyle. I always recommend pieces for the wall because you see them every day. It's the best way to enjoy your photos. Albums, print boxes, and digital files are also popular.
Do I have to order wall art?
Your final cost depends on how many favorites you choose and what display options are best for you. Our custom sessions have a $400 booking fee (hair and makeup included) and collections begin at $950, while our smaller solo sessions begin at $590.
How much should I budget for photos?
Nope! We'll talk about your vision before the session so I know your comfort level and how you want to be seen in your photographs. Of course, if you want to show off your belly, go right ahead!
Do I have to show my belly?
Yes! I have an entire room in my studio devoting to beautiful gowns, crowns, headpieces, and props. You are welcome to choose anything in the client closet to use during your session. There are a variety of sizes ranging from XS to 3X.
Do you have gowns I can use?
Your pregnancy portraits are best taken between 28-32 weeks. This allows for your bump to be round and pronounced, but you aren't too exhausted to enjoy your session.
when's the best time for maternity photos?
Yes please! I always encourage my clients to bring along their loved ones for any photo session they are planning. Partners and children are more than welcome - we'll plan to photograph with them first or last, so I can spend the remainder of the session on you!
Can I bring my partner/children?
what about hair and makeup?
Hair and makeup is complimentary for all custom sessions. One of our professional HAMU artists will come to the studio immediately before your session to prep and pamper you. Of course, you are welcome to do your own hair/makeup, too!
